About DevAIper: AI for software engineers
DevAIper is a YouTube channel and this website, made by Belgacem Aloui. The goal fits in one sentence: help developers get real work done with AI, without the hype.
What you will find here#
- Blog posts that answer one question well, such as the difference between MCP and a regular API, how to write a CLAUDE.md or how much RAM a local model needs. Each post starts with a short answer and ends with an FAQ.
- Courses, released as free YouTube playlists. Every part has a short concept video and a hands-on video where we build it, and the written lesson appears here when the video is published. See the course list.
- Examples in TypeScript, unless a post says otherwise. If one of them does not work for you, tell me and I will fix it.
How the videos are made#
Voice only, hand-drawn on a dark canvas with light lines. One idea per drawing, and every long video is cut into Shorts so you can get the core idea in a minute. The two recurring characters are Dev, a stick figure with code-bracket glasses, and Al the bot.
Editorial standards#
- Sources. Claims about tools and protocols link to the official documentation, so you can check them.
- Dates. Every post shows when it was published. When something changes, the post is updated and the date changes with it.
- Corrections. If something is wrong or out of date, email me. Fixes are made in the post itself, not buried in a comment.
- Tools change fast. Prices, model names and features are the first things to go stale. Where a post depends on them, check the official page linked in it.
- No hype. I will not promise that AI changes everything this week, and I will not use jargon without a plain-English translation next to it.
Independence and advertising#
DevAIper is an independent project. The site may show ads (through Google AdSense) to cover its costs. Ads are never mixed into the text of a post, and tools and products are mentioned because they are relevant, not because anyone paid for it. If that ever changes, the post will say so clearly. More detail is in the privacy policy.
Who it is for#
Developers, software engineers and tech leads, from junior to staff. If you can read a stack trace, you are in the right place.
