This policy explains what information devaiper.com ("the site", "DevAIper", "we") handles when you visit, who else receives it and what choices you have. The site is run by Belgacem Aloui, reachable at [belgacemaloui.dev@gmail.com](mailto:belgacemaloui.dev@gmail.com).

## The short version

- You do not need an account to use the site, and there are no comment sections, forms or newsletters at the moment.
- The site's hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
- The site shows ads through **Google AdSense**. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, including ads based on your interests where you have agreed to that.
- You can change or withdraw your choices at any time (see "Your choices").

## What information is collected

**Server logs.** When you load a page, the hosting provider and its network receive technical information that your browser sends anyway: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the browser and device type, and the referring page. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and understand overall traffic. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

**Email you send us.** If you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to reply and keep it only as long as needed for that conversation.

**Cookies and local storage.** The site itself does not set cookies for tracking and does not use its own analytics. Cookies and similar identifiers described below come from advertising partners, not from the content of the site.

## Advertising and Google AdSense

The site uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites, to measure ads and to prevent fraud.

- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Where the law requires consent (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), personalised ads are shown only if you agree through a consent message from a certified consent management platform. If you do not agree, you may still see non-personalised ads, which do not use your past behaviour.
- How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at [policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

## Your choices

- **Ad personalisation.** You can turn off personalised ads in your Google account at [adssettings.google.com](https://adssettings.google.com).
- **Industry opt-outs.** You can opt out of many third-party ad vendors at [aboutads.info](https://optout.aboutads.info) (US) and [youronlinechoices.eu](https://www.youronlinechoices.eu) (Europe).
- **Your browser.** You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features of ads, and some content on other sites, may then not work as expected.
- **Consent message.** If a consent message is shown, you can change your choice from the link it provides.

## Links to other sites

Posts link to official documentation, GitHub and YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. Following a link to YouTube is governed by [Google's privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

## Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed by the hosting and content-delivery provider that serves the site, and by Google through AdSense as described above. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

## International transfers

The hosting provider and Google operate globally, so information such as your IP address can be processed in countries other than yours. Where required, these providers rely on recognised safeguards for such transfers.

## How long data is kept

Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention rules. Emails to us are kept only as long as needed to answer them and for ordinary record-keeping. Advertising cookies expire according to Google's settings.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Because we hold very little data, most requests will be answered with a short explanation. Write to [belgacemaloui.dev@gmail.com](mailto:belgacemaloui.dev@gmail.com) and we will reply within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

## Children

The site is written for developers and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

## Changes to this policy

When we change how the site handles data, for example by adding analytics or a newsletter, we will update this page and its "last updated" date.
